Changing Buddy

I have my defibrillatorI call him Buddy - five years this year, and after my last interrogation which reported that I had four incidences of Ventricular Tachycardia in three days, my cardiologist decided to reprogram the little guy. Now I can have a VT for more than 2 minutes, but I won’t get shocked until my heart rate reaches 200 BPM for a sustained 24 beats, then it’s KA-BOOM, I get a shock. Makes me feel a little less nervous, but I still don’t like the idea of getting a shock. Although the alternative, sudden death, aint all that fun either.
